How to change message bubble colour

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung A71 and want to change the message colour bubble. Everywhere i look says this cannot be done and (fugly) green is the only option. Everywhere says you can only change the background and/or text colour. Well on one of my contacts my messages are in beautiful blue, but the others all in green, so there must be some way to change it! Bizarre. Thx for any help.

Blue is the colour for RCS chat and green for normal SMS text messages. Short of getting everyone you know to use RCS or getting a new text messaging app, there isn't anything that can be done.
