How to check battery % left

Is there a quick way to check the status of the battery without going thru 2 or 3 swipes or screens?

I believe if you go to your Settings app and to the Battery section, you could toggle that percentage indicator on or off.

Does your model have the option to show battery percentage next to the battery symbol? In Settings > Battery. My Verizon model Pixel 4 does, and I think my wife's Verizon 3a XL does also. If not you can also add a Settings widget to a home screen and when prompted for which Setting to display select Battery.

At least it can be enabled in the settings.

Any user of a notched iPhone cannot check their battery percentage without swiping from the top right corner (which usually involves a hand stretch/adjustment to reach it)
