How to delete Picasa photo's on Galaxy S5?

I had the same Picasa problem with my Samsung s5. To remove the Picasa pics > open the Gallery icon then click on the three dots at the top of the screen > click onto 'Content to display' and then uncheck both 'Content in Dropbox' and 'Content in Picasa' > and, Voila, all unwanted pics will be deleted ! Prior to this, I also unchecked all the photos in the Picasa folder which I thought I might keep. By doing this I found these photos were still in the gallery, which is fine. Hope this helps everyone :)

I've got the same problem. I'm selling my phone. I've factory reset everything but for some reason Picasa has still got my photos on there and I can't remove them. It's just there dirty ones and need to be romove. But understand why there on there as I've never used picasa

If I use delete does it delete picasa album I just want to remove some pictures I deleted them on the pc but they still show up on my cell

I have the Galaxy S5 but I do not show picasa on my phone. When I go into my gallery it say I have 1000+ photos. i can view them but not delete them. I have deleted them from my web account but they are still showing on my phone and I cannot figure out how to delete them. Any help is appreciated.

There is no option for Content to display.... I show Sync via wi-fi, filters/filter by tags - tag buddy and face tag. Any suggestions?

is it possible to delete only particular photos from picasa? In fear of losing photo's I want if I delete the whole album.

Re: Deleting Picasa Photos ?

Recommended from online:
Go into Settings----->Accounts and Sync---->Tap Google----->Uncheck "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
Go into Settings----->Application Manager---->"All" tab----->Find Gallery and tap "Clear Data"

I think your next step is going into the gallery app and tapping clear data. I believe it will only delete the cache and not your pictures.
Thank you so much!

At the moment it is impossible to delete piccasa (maybe possible with root) but for now you have to go into gallery>Click the 3 dots>Content to display>Uncheck Picassa

I have a lot of photos (over 1,000) in a Picasa file on my Samsung Galaxy s5. When I go to "settings", it is not on my App list, it is not being synched...anymore (it must have been at one time?) and I am unable to delete the photos in Picasa from my phone. When I select "delete" in the upper right hand corner of my drop down menu of my Picasa photos, I get the message "Unsupported File" and can not delete it. I do have a lot of photos in my Gallery that I do not want to delete. When I go to my "Gallery" app page on my phone, I have the following: "Camera", "Screenshots" , "Download", "Facebook", "Studio", "Videos", "Dropbox", and "Picasa". If I click on Picasa to open it, I can scroll through all 1,011 photos, I could email them, or I could share them on Facebook,...everything but delete them. How do I get them OFF my phone? I sure hope you can help.

In reply to Springshine,
That method didn't work with my Samsung sG5. It will remove them from view....but not deleted from my phone.

Thanks, this worked great. And clearing the data didn't delete my pics, but it did remove my picassa album

Re: Deleting Picasa Photos ?

You have to perform the last t ask to clear them out of your gallery.

Go into Settings----->Application Manager---->"All" tab----->Find Gallery and tap "Clear Data"

This was really useful and actually deleted it off my phone and the photos i didnt want anymore.
