How to delete Picasa photo's on Galaxy S5?

Re: Deleting Picasa Photos ?

I found out how to do it on my phone go into gallery.. go to setting.. click content to display.. click content in Picasa.. and turn it off.. it will delete all the pics from displaying on your phone

Thanks, that was getting annoying, my picasa album online is empty, if I added a photo to it, it would add it to my phone too, along with other photos not anywhere online or on my phone, only in that daft picasa album in gallery

So, not fixed, but hidden will do, cheers

I had to try a few different things.

Gallery --> Settings --> Select email account(s) --> Unsync Picasa Web albums

Went to Google+ and deleted photos from there

and finally, Gallery --> Content to display --> Uncheck Content in Picasa

done!

It appears that everyone wanted to delete Picassa (now google photos) from there phone. Too many photos and videos can slow down the phone and not have it run efficiently. I wanted to delete pictures permanently from everywhere. There are pictures simply not worth keeping. Some examples are blurry pictures, duplicates, pictures of documents, pictures of products from stores or whatever else you don't want to keep. I found that by logging into Google photos from my computer I could delete pictures permanently everywhere.

Re: Deleting Picasa Photos ?

Recommended from online:
Go into Settings----->Accounts and Sync---->Tap Google----->Uncheck "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
Go into Settings----->Application Manager---->"All" tab----->Find Gallery and tap "Clear Data"

I think your next step is going into the gallery app and tapping clear data. I believe it will only delete the cache and not your pictures.

Works perfectly

Does anyone have a means of deleting photos from picasa? I have tried a few different things and I can not seem to have any luck. I have deleted the photos from my account on the laptop, disabled syncing, etc. The work around used for prior galaxy devices does not seem to be possible.

This works 100%

I have and s5 v6.01 android.. and theres no stuff like this.. theres no clear data and clear cache.. just force stop.. and picasa album is still there.

Thanks I followed your instruction and after deleting the data instead of clearing I have finally got rid of Picasa.
I did have to "allow" when I next logged in to google. Yeah!!!!:):)

Re: Deleting Picasa Photos ?

I have done all of the steps except the clear data button because I went to the app manager and gallery, but there was no clear data button. Can someone please help?

Welcome to Android Central! When you select Gallery in the App Manager, tap Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data.
