You can get rid of these crappy movie and crappy game to free up your SD card.

1. Connect your phone to PC via given USB cable
2. Be sure to mount as 'SD card' not 'USB charging' via your phone screen
3. Browse your phone's SD card via your PC

4. Crap Hornet 3D is located in ".data/HtcWatch/preload_movies/2141_0_SonyPictures_GreenHornet_3D.eny" at a whopping 1.76 GB. Delete the whole damn folder.

5. Crapman 3D game is located in "gameloft" folder at the root. Delete the whole thing. It's about 800 mb.

Viola! You just saved 2.5GB~ of your 8GB card, that's over 31% of your precious storage!

Thanks. I havent dug into this yet. Seems like many apps and such create odd directory structures.

Doesnt Droid do a pretty good job of removing dead folders and tree's when uninstalling applications (assuming it was the only thing occupying that folder)?

Yo, you forgot to mention, if we never actually played the Spider-Man game it wont show up. And you can't get to the root of the device through your computer.

If you can offer a little guidance, it'd be much appreciated. :)

I was able to go to the root of the phone using ASTRO but there is no Gameloft folder in the root of the phone.

Help? :-\

Don't forget to give credit to the post from XDA that you copied/pasted this from. ;)

I think we are SOL until we get the instructions for root. Your right about the Spiderman game and even when you delete the Green Hornet it still shows up in the App Drawer. :-\

Do you delete the whole data folder or no???? I deleted the movie but still haven't gotten any more space?

I couldn't find the file on my SD card so I contacted HTC and here is their reply:

If the icon appears on one of your homescreens , you can tap and hold on it and then drag it to the garbage can on the screen.

(the icon still appeared on my screen)

Once this is done, you can check in menu> settings> applications> manange applications. From here, see if Green Hornet still appears on this list. If so, tap on it and then attempt to Uninstall.

(The uninstall worked no more Green Hornet icon on my Screen)

Since I had formatted my SD card the file wasn't there my problem now was to remove the icon.

Hope this helps someone else who can't find the file on their SD card:)

How to contact HTC support by phone/email
if you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask. They are available from 6am to 1am EDST, 7 days a week for chat on htc.com, or by phone at 1-866-449-8358 .

No, you can get rid of both without needed root permission. I did this long ago.
