How to disable the sound when i wake up my pixel 4a 5g.[Solved]

[Android Central Question]

When wake the phone after it's been in sleep mode, I get to a chime. This is annoying. Every everytime. How do I get rid of that. I've looked everywhere in the should settings. How's a person able to sneak a peek at their phone if it's announced?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Sounds>Advanced, and make sure the toggle for Screen Locking Sound is turned off.

Is it a notification tone for a notification that arrives as soon as you wake the phone?

Confirmed, it is shut off.

In many cases getting a notification as soon as you switch the phone on is caused by a pending voicemail. See if that's your case.

No luck on that one. I deleted all VM.

Try this. Long press an empty spot on your home screen - tap 'Widgets' - scroll down until you find 'Settings 1x1' - drag it to the home screen and select 'Notification Log'. This process will create a widget for the log.

Restart the phone, tap that new widget and see which records are listed there.

I posted this question on another forum. The issue comes from the fact that I have a credit card holder and NFC on. Turned it off and voila. Who'd of thunk!
