How to eliminate lockscreen calendar notifications?

I give up on this one, I've searched for days...

Is there a way to eliminate the fullscreen lockscreen notifications for the calendar but still have notifications show up in the status bar? This should be easy but I absolutely can't figure it out.

You should be able to long-press the Calendar notification widget on your lock screen and drag it to the trashcan at the top, I think?
