How to email the President of Verizon with your complaints.

Dear Mr. Haller,

I am writing to express my displeasure at your company's complete failure to keep your customers informed about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It has been over a month since the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was made, and yet you have still demonstrated complete indifference towards your customers that are clamoring to buy this device. I signed up for your mailing list, but the only thing I have received as a result is in advertisement for the Droid Razr. I do not want the Droid Razr. I want the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, as does everyone else who signed up for that mailing list. To mail us an advertisement for a product that was plainly visible to anyone who took the time and effort to find where the mailing list was located is tantamount to an insult.

It has further come to my attention that the likely cause of these delays and silence is bugs resulting from Verizon's insistence on including carrier software, which is causing problems. This is completely unacceptable. The Galaxy Nexus is a Nexus device. That means no third party apps whatsoever. Furthermore, the Nexus line traditionally caters to the Android aficionado, someone who, upon receiving the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, will likely uninstall the carrier-specific application without further thought. The delay is therefore without cause.

To sum things up, I am greatly annoyed because frankly, I want to buy a product from your company, and you aren't letting me. I want to give you my money for a product that you are perfectly capable of launching a fully-capable version of, but, for reasons known or unknown, you are refusing to. Unless I hear something within the next three days, I can assure you that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the last Verizon product I ever buy, and I will vehemently discourage my friends and coworkers from doing business with Verizon Wireless in the future.

Sincerely,

**************

You do realize this letter is quite childish, and its contents aren't even substantiated by any evidence. It just comes across as being impatient and misinformed.

I'm not against writing corporate. I've done things of this nature in the past, but typically, you'd need a valid complaint usually resulting from a prior purchase experience that went wrong.

Here, your writing about events that haven't even happened. It's pointless....

Just wait until they release the damned phone, and join the rest of us. These forums are full of impatient people and they flood us with threads that are full of complaints and rumors. It does nothing but further frustrate the community.

This is terrible PR for them. Samsung and Google reps pretty much said its all I'm Verizon's hands. Bottom line though is the majority of us aren't gonna switch to another carrier and they know it.

I fail to see how sending this email does any damage to "the cause" so whether you agree with the contents or not, there really is no downside. I can see both sides of the argument, but it's not like they are going to delay the phone further because they received an email they didn't like.

If it helps you vent, I'm all for it.

Im going to switch next week but youre right... unfortunately you cant shove it in their face..

And then regret it when the nexus comes out as soon as you switch.

Why would i regret it? I dont buy phones subsidized typically and resale value for an unlocked phone is typically pretty good. If i wanted to switch back over and go on contract i could. I have no reason to regret a switch to att... plans are typically the same amount(id be paying 10 bucks more since i wouldnt be on a family plan) and Lte/ 4g isnt very prominent in my area as is so i wouldnt be missing those sick Lte speeds brah... Trust me i wouldnt have anything to regret. My decision isnt final and im still giving it til Monday or so to decide. Ive been on a really crapped out Blackberry Curve for the past few months since i switched back and i would really prefer a nice smartphone before i begin my new job for organization purposes. Im still tossing up the idea of "renting" a phone. Not sure yet. But no regrets my friend.

Plus lose unlimited data.

"Ive been on a really crapped out Blackberry Curve for the past few months since i SWITCHED BACK"

as you can see i lost unlimited data. But truthfully, i dont go above 1gb per month on average with a smartphone. I use wifi a decent amount when at work or at home and when im out and about with friends or loved ones i dont really focus on pulling down a ton of content. Unlimited data is cool and id enjoy knowing theres no cap but that ship saled a little while ago..

You'd be impatient too if your last verizon phone broke 5 months ago and you had been completely cut off from the outside world because your family refused to let you purchase a phone.

As for your criticisms of my letter, I would love to see you come up with anything better. I think I did a damned fine job, thank you very much.

Hey man power to you... nothing wrong with what you wrote. Ive been stuck on a shyte phone for a few months that freezes when receiving calls and mid sentence during a text.... You have it worse than me but i can relate in some fashion. I could just buy a phone on craigslist but come on.... This thing should atleast have an OFFICIAL date. December is too long for me in my current work situation but atleast if they announced December 8th id be able to at least reconsider to a degree.

Yes. As long as Verizon ANNOUNCES a date, I am fine, but this is turning into a piece of vaporware.

I think if they would come out and announce a date it would ease the tensions many on here have. At least then people would know how long they have to wait with their current phone and whether or not to get another to hold them over until the nexus launches.

Just sent my opinion as well. Been dealing with a horrible malfunctioning Sprint phone since May. Held out for the 4S (meh), held out for the S2 (not bad), held out for the GNex announcement and decided to switch to Big Red and to buy it... But I need a phone.. and for a month without any news... (Probably to maximize the RZR And Rezound sales before milking that market with GNex information)... Just bad service.

Sending an email will probably fall on deaf ears but maybe, just maybe, they will actually read the emails and see people want this phone and it would sell if they just released it.

Almost certainly... but its just as pointless to yammer and complain on forums so might as well point it towards a kernel of authority.

I agree. If you read my whole comment I agree with what you are doing and hopefully they read them but just said most likely they won't or won't care.

Agreed....the company has already made its decision, its just that we don't know what exactly that decision is and why.

Well, here is my email to Verizon. Feel free to borrow any part of it for your own emails.
Best of luck!

Dear Mr. Bianchi,

I have been a loyal Verizon Wireless for many years and currently have a 4-line family plan with 3 data plans and spend around $240 a month on cell phone service with Verizon Wireless. We currently have 2 phone upgrades and have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus that was announced on October 21st to use our two upgrades. Both of our current phones are reaching the end of their life and need to be upgraded in the near future.

Despite having signed up for your mailing list to receive updates regarding the Galaxy Nexus, I have not received any communication regarding when the Galaxy Nexus will be available on Verizon Wireless. I have also received two calls from Verizon Wireless representatives in the meantime asking me to upgrade my two lines to a new LTE phone but neither of the representatives on the phone even know that the Galaxy Nexus exist, let alone when the phone will be available for sale.

I am writing to express my displeasure at your company's failure to keep customers informed about the release of the Galaxy Nexus. Since the announcement of the Galaxy Nexus, both the Droid Razr and HTC Rezound have been announced and released by Verizon Wireless. In the same period of time, AT&T has also announced and released two LTE phones. Yet, there has been nothing in regards to the Galaxy Nexus. This phone has already been released worldwide and all of the other service providers around the world have communicated release information to their customers. Verizon Wireless, as a leader in the field, should not be trailing behind everyone.

We have been eagerly anticipating this new phone from Google and Samsung coupled with Verizon Wireless's excellent LTE service. I sincerely hope that your company will release the Galaxy Nexus very soon and do a better job of communicating with your customers in the future.

Yeah and unfortunately regardless of my personal decision on what to do this week coming up or how this launch actually turns out, we'll never really know what went/ is going down. Part of me thinks they are stressing trying to get this thing out before Black Friday. Because honestly, who has money after that? Especially with Christmas shopping (if you choose to celebrate) and whatnot. But really, i dont think they care too much. Numbers are numbers and im sure they know they wont see a significant hit from this thing not launching on our time. How many times have you read already on all of these people who are getting the Razr or Rezound now that a launch isnt immediate? Unfortunately this continues to give in to Vzw. I just hope Samsung and Google are pissed at least. Regardless of partnerships the Razr is just a skinny Bionic with a better screen, am i right? We havent seen new high end Samsung hardware in a while so im sure Samsung wouldnt be happy if Verizon was strictly focusing on a phone thats rehashed from a phone that launched 2 months ago..... ugh.... I may need to switch carriers and get this phone unlocked just so i can rest easy knowing i dont have the urge to view the Verizon Galaxy Nexus Forum... haha

Sounds good.....it needs to say "exists" not "exist" at the end of the second paragraph. If I had a contract that was about to expire I'd shoot this email over as well. I might work on one to send for people mid contract.
