Android Central Question

I just bought the Samsung Note 8, which I mostly love, except when playing music through my bluetooth headphones, Philips SHB8750NC. They audio quality is terrible. It sounds nothing like it did before on my Note 4!! And I love listening to music so it is very disappointing! After researching online, I realize that my phone is Bluetooth 5.0 while my headphones are 4.0. I did not find a solution other than buying new headphones which I do not want to do since they are a little over a year old.
Has anyone found a solution?

The problem is that the headphone media profile and the phone media profile don't match, so unless Philips issues an update to the headphones, the solution is to replace them.

you might try going to sound quality and effects and working with that. BT5 is backwards compatible so should not be an issue. is your headset able to use the aux cord?

Is tour Note8 on Android Oreo?

If so, give this a try, go to Developer Options and try mess around with the BT Audio Codec, aube try AptX and see if it helps. :)
