How to fix step counter

[Android Central Question]

Hi folks,

I'm on holiday in Spain at the moment and annoyingly my step counter keeps freezing until I restart the watch. All other features work fine but it's getting me down when it shows 2000 steps and my phone shows over 20000!
Any ideas what the issue could be?
