How to get out of my Sprint contract

I think the thread should be closed. The original question has been answered quite a few times for the OP.

You don't have to post in the thread you know.

So by your logic, if one person has a bad experience then everyone does? Not one person can have a good experience with a company no matter which one it is? Cause that is how you are making it sound.

Not even remotely close. All I am asking is how can I legitimately get out of my Sprint contract.

Keep the thread on topic or I will close it and hand out infractions.

Thanks.

This.

Currently I am going to keep badgering cs and contacting Retentions until I get a reasonable conclusion. If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to share them

From the sounds of it, the only legitimate way you have to get out of the contract is to pay the ETF.

I'm not going to pretend i know what's wrong with your phone, but a warranty covers manufacturers defects only, not physical damage. If they are stating in their opinion that it's physical damage, you have 2 options- seek a second opinion from another partner (another store or authorized repair center) or deal with the manufacturer directly.

Coverage isn't guaranteed and neither is removing roaming partners decreasing footprint.

Some people have been able to make a case that their primary usage area is no longer in coverage and have been able to have ETF waived, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Well when it's a matter of Evos having known problems that Sprint and HTC both know about, I disagree. You see these days, a quick Google search will tell you everything you need to know. So whether Sprint and HTC acknowledge them or not, the problems are out their and millions of people wouldn't likely make something up.

Paying the ETF doesn't concern me. I make just enough cash to pay it and not care. I'm just a tightwad.

So pay it and stop whining.

I just left sprint last week for ATT and Infuse. Great phone, but sporadic service in my area. I want to go back to Sprint. Will they refund my ETF fees? Does my contract continue as it was, or does it start a new?

I'm not totally sure, but I do believe that since you're within 60 days of canceling your service that you can port back in, have the ETF credited to your account (I don't think they'll send the cash back to you) and resume your contract from when you left off.

Easiest way to be sure is to call account services and ask.

Can you do that? Let's say I see a phone I like on Sprint and able to get a discount on it. What if I started a new contract and ported my number to Sprint from Sprint?

I'd rather not go and port to another carrier then port it back as it'd be a waste of money and time.

this is an EASY one. Go to the sprint.com coverage locator, find a location with zero coverage, go onto your sprint.com account, and change your address to that location without sprint coverage, call customer care and cancel because they don't have service @ your billing address. done.

The only problem with this is that it isn't their fault you 'moved' to a place with no service from them. They also can look in your account and see what towers you are using.

Do you realize how silly that sounds? Oh heaven forbid someone for moving for legitimate purposes but not having a Sprint signal there.
