How to get the letter to appear as you are typing?

I remember I used to be able to see the letter as I type. Now , maybe after an update , I cannot find it for the life of me.. Any help Gets a thank you!!!

I'm seeing the letters as I type even after the update on the 26th, using the stock keyboard.

Hello. No moded keyboard. Stock. swipe is enabled. Texting or any other typing does not show the letter of the key I pressed.

If you're talking about the line that traces your swype input as you go around the keyboard; I've had that disappear for me several times (usually in dolphin browser url, but would carry over to other input fields)

To resolve, I would long press the input field to bring up input method; change to touch-input, and then repeat to change back to swype and the letter trace would come back.

Not sure exactly what you're asking.

1. Are you talking about making letters appear as you type them in masked password fields? If so, go to Settings/Security, then check "Visible Passwords".

2. Are you talking about the trace line on the Swype keyboard? If you want the full trace path shown as you swipe on the keyboard, go to Settings/Language & Keyboard/Swype Settings, then check "Show Complete Trace".

3. Are you talking about the little graphical pop-up that shows which letter you typed as you type it? If so, you need to be using the stock keyboard (not Swype). Long-press on any text field and select "Input Method". Then choose "Touch Input". That will switch the keyboard back to the stock keyboard which has the feature you're talking about.
