Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out the best method of charging the battery on my nexus 6p to make sure it lives a long time. Should I plug it in at a certain percentage? Top it off whenever possible? What do you all think?

Thanks

It's not so much the charger (the phone itself sets the charging curve), it's not letting the battery drop below 40%. (I have an 11 year old battery on my "if it gets broken, it'll cost $10 to replace" phone that still works fine.) Also never letting it sit in a hot car in the summer or letting it sit in freezing or below-freezing weather. (Using a charger that can't supply enough current just makes charging take longer. Using a charger with a higher current rating doesn't cause any problem. I regularly charge phones on my 30 Amp (that's 30,000 mA) bench supply. The phone draws as much as it can, up to the current it was designed to draw, and no more.)
