How to hide photos in gallery?

Some folders like music albums, covers, and game images files appear in my gallery when I don't want it to. Is there anyway to hide and prevent those images from showing up? It's annoying the gallery shows every single image.

The main method would be to use a file manager app to create a ".nomedia" file in the directories where those images reside. But that can cause problems if the image is an album cover, and resides in the same directory as the music files -- a .nomedia file there would also render the music files invisible to the music apps.

I use an app called F-Stop for my photo management. I'm certain that I tested everyone in the Play Store... And at least for my usage this is the best one. I really like the fact that I could tag my photos on my computer and search for photos by tags with this app. you will be able to exclude the folders like you are looking for... Pay the few extra dollars for the pro version it is worth every penny.
