Re: [How-To] Install aospCMod7 2.3.4 (With Downloads of everythi

thanks i re ran superoneclick and clicked on root ad that seemed to clear up that issue, i was allowed to remount and push the flash.zip, but now when i try to flash in the recovery.img through terminal emulator i keep getting "file not found" msg it is on my sd card and not in a folder. how do i get it to flash? im totally stumped, sorry for being a noob, can you plz help

I flashed my recovery from ADB but terminal emulator should be relatively similar.
Try LeslieAnn's post on flashing recovery from terminal emulator. Remember to thank her if it works :D

An "easier" way is to use the flashable recoveries that mmarz made. You simply boot into recovery and flash them just like a rom then reboot into recovery and it' there. :) I've tried them all and haven't had a single issue.

While that method is easier it only works if you already have custom recovery; the purpose of those zips is to correct a recovery issue. As in if someone flashed clockwork recovery and needs to get to xionia. If running the stock LG recovery you cannot flash any zips not signed by LG

I guess this is the part where I admit I only read the post before mine and not the whole thread. Damn I hate it when people "eavesdrop" and yes I'm being a hypocrite lol.

LMAO no worries... Honestly I'm not certain which recovery he is running but since I believe he just rooted I assume it's the stock recovery; otherwise I would definitely prefer the zips as well. But than I'm lazy, I have the knowledge to make changes through adb or terminal emulator and yet 9 times out of 10 I create myself a flashable zip so I can redo things later without repeating steps... I play with my phone way more than I should lol

Me too, I can "use" adb although I'll take a flash file any day lol. I flash roms at least every other day messing with crap. I'm really waiting for my phone to die...it can't be that far off, at least there are some more options coming out now in case I ruin this one. Triumph and, I heard not sure on truth, that the optimus black is coming also. Time to save my pennies lol.

no dice:( im still running on stock rom. whats with the file not found!? when i try to flash recovery.img? is it not the right file type?

I could never get flashing by term emulator to work. If you are still on the stock recovery I might try using romtools. That is the best way I found to do it before flashable recoveries.

I found you the link, but I do have a suggestion in the future; go to the main forum for your device and click search this forum for things like that (not saying this to be rude I have no problem doing the search just may save you some time in the future).
