[HOW-TO] Install Official CM7 Release (Gingerbread) to Internal Memory (eMMC)

I tried following instructions and when boot Nook it does not boot from SD card. It is a new Nook as described in 2nd post data "10th April 2011, 11:22 PM" [GUIDE] Install CM7, OC kernel and Clockworkmod to EMMC - ALL NOOKS! (Updated:6/5/11) - xda-developers. Could that be the issue?

If there is a "bootable" card in the SD slot it will boot from the card. If it is not a bootable card it will boot from the internal eMMC whether there is a card inserted or not.

Hi, sorry to bring this topic back up, but I just received my NC for Father's day, and was going to try to root it. But I have noticed that there are only a few posts for the new 1.2 version of the nook. I checked out the link [GUIDE] Install CM7, OC kernel and Clockworkmod to EMMC - ALL NOOKS! (Updated:6/5/11) - xda-developers And will give that a try when I get a new Sd card, but I was just posting to see if others had any problems with rooting the 1.2s or not. thanks for any help.

no problems, works great.
I just did two blue dot refurbs using these instructions. Just make sure that after you first successfully log into CM7, go to Rom Manager and Flash ClockworkMod Recovery to your EMMC (Step 15 .. the one I didn't read). That way, you can reboot into recovery mode without an SDCard. Otherwise you'll boot into recovery and just hang at the loading screen.
I figured this out the hard way.

does cm7 work better than honeycomb?
I've used cm7 for months, switched to Deep Blues Honeycomb a month ago.

Honeycomb is prettier but cm7 just seems to run faster/better/stabler.

Ill be switching back to cm7 as soon as I finish typing this

Please help! I followed the instructions but cannot get my NC to boot into CM7. When I turn it on, I get the "Touch the future of reading" screen, and then the screen goes black. After a few seconds, it will flash white once and then return to black. I can boot into ClockworkMod Recovery, but I don't know what to do. Can I just try the install process again? Do I need to wipe the device first or return it to stock? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I've found that the device keeps rebooting, even after I turn it off, so the screen just stays on.
I had the same issue when flashing the last stable CM7 and the last version of the overclock.
In my case I solved it by flashing first the latest of the nightly CM7 and then the last version of the OC.
Other people mentioned that for the last stable version of the CM7 you will need to use an older version of the OK - it is described somewhere on the threads.

Hope this helps.

Bogdan.

Re: [HOW-TO] Install Official CM7 Release (Gingerbread) to Intern

My market place isn't working either. I can view the market place, but it keeps force closing. The browser and Google talk work fine...

I used
cm_encore_full-169.zip
gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip
cwmr_3.0.1.0.zip

Should I try a different version of any of these?

You want version 3.2.0.1of CWR. The older versions do not properly wipe the cache, davlik, system and data...

just flashed this and keep getting this about every 10 seconds
"the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Any ideas? I've tried reflashing a few times with different nightlies even.

Tried that and it didn't work. I ended up flashing cm7 for the third time and I think it's finally gone away.

I consistently got that when I was first trying to flash CM7. Finally discovered that the older CWR would not properly wipe Davlik, regular cache or data. Once I changed to the newer version (3.2.0.1) wipes were complete and I never had a problem again.

Re: [HOW-TO] Install Official CM7 Release (Gingerbread) to Intern

I read in here somewhere about the 1gb sd card bug. I have an 8gb card and it says I only have less than a gb left. Was their a fix for this?

Before I go and dork my NC again, does anybody know if this will work with version 1.3?
