How can I keep my screen turned off while on my wireless charger? The screen is constantly coming on and going off. If there isn't a setting for it perhaps there is an app?

Check your basic settings about battery charging, then your next step is to find out what program is waking up your phone... find out which one has a wake lock feature.

I can't find any settings about battery charging. Also I think the screen waking up is related to the phone charging. As soon as it is topped off it will go back to sleep until the next time it charges when it comes back on. I use a wireless charger.

I have a Tylt Vü wireless charger and this never happens with my Maxx and that charger. I don't see any setting that turns the screen on when fully charged. There is Daydream under settings / display, but that does the opposite - it turns on your screen while charging.

That's funny, I also have the Tylt Vu wireless charger.

Did you check the daydream setting? If it's turned on, try turning it off.

Also, do you have an app that may be waking the screen? For example, I know that the text messaging app textra has a default setting to wake the screen when you receive a message. Maybe you have another app that is doing this? Or are you sure that it coincides with full charge?

And, of course, the other option, if you don't figure it out, is to plug in to charge and just use the wireless charger for short charges. Wired charging *is* better for long term battery life anyway, as wireless charging raises the temperature of the battery pack higher while charging due to inefficiency that normal charging doesn't share.

Daydream is turned off. I don't want to plug in to charge. I have too much invested in my Tylt Vu chargers plus I don't want the wear and tear on the USB port on the phone.

As to what is causing my phone to turn on, I have no clue. How would I even find this out?

Do you have any battery apps that monitor and display charge levels, something like gsam? I don't think gsam had an option to wake the screen on full charge, but maybe another app does.

Mine does that when the phone doesn't have a good constant connection between it and the pad. I found that the position of the phone plays big role and, sometimes, thickness (case)

I have the same phone and charger and it drives me crazy that the dang thing won't stay dark when charging. I haven't been able to figure out what is causing it to wake up.

I have a TYLT VU for my Maxx and use Daydream, Droid Dream. Under settings buttons for Droid Dream there is a check box for night mode, (very dim for dark rooms). This may help. Under "when to daydream" settings buttons there is a Help menu. There is a para "Set up Daydream - Nexus Help - Google help." Part of that says "Your daydream will start after your device goes into sleep mode , but it won't display if you shut off your screen using the power button. Once your device is charging or in a dock, let it go into Sleep mode on its own. By default, our device may only Daydream when it is docked. "
I use a very dark wallpaper and it doesn't bother me at night at all. Good luck.:cool

I have the same wireless charger and don't have the issue. One thing I do every night when I put it on the charger is start this app called Dock Clock. It'll keep a floating time on the screen and it allows me to adjust the brightness. Nice little bedside clock. I have the same issue Dandino mentioned. When I first put the phone on the dock, it'll make that noise 3 or 4 times and then its good to go. I have an otterbox defender case on it though. Never tried just setting it in the dock without running dock clock.

I notice it turning on and off with notifications while on my cheapo wireless charger pad, but only early in the morning, after the time period of Moto Assist sleeping has passed. If you set the Sleep mode, do not disturb, it doesnt wake up constantly.
