So basically all you are doing is un-rooting then flashing the 2.3 then rooting again. because thats wat i did

Actually there is no need to un-root. You just need to put a particular recovery on the phone.

Do you have sdcard in the phone and did you turn off USB mass storage mode?

i figured it out b4 now after ive done the ./rage it stays $ im not getting the # i did it 4 times

Try rebooting the phone and trying again.

In the past I've had to run rage 20-30 times with different timing of reconnecting to get the race condition to hit, but recently with the V9 recovery and ZVH it has always hit on the first try.

No sir, If you do the ZVH update with a custom recovery, you will have a brick in your hand.

What do you mean "then usb debugging don't turn back on"?

Did you mean you can't connect to the phone using adb shell?

If so, I'm starting to think you have VD recovery instead of V9.
