to let everyone know i went from cm7 to zvh without losing anything on the phone. I didn't do the wipe system, and nothing is fcing.

Ok so Nothing was showing on the phone at all, just the back light on. Everything was showing in Screencast. Wife called and I went to answer it and unplugged the USb and screen came on weird. Had unplugged it multiple times before getting it to boot into recovery.

So you are saying it is fixed now?

Given your screen experience, if it continues being flaky, you may want to wipe data/factory reset.

ok so if i hit the power button to sleep the phone, and then hit it again to wake it works.

But i have to go back to cm7 cause stock GB does not have L2CAP Bluetooth support

read threw entire post this morning and i've found a few problems similar to mine just not mac based

I'm in recovery and looking at the error update.zip pic

Im using mac and I have terminal up and i type in "adb shell"
then "$" pops up and i type in cd /sdcard/000root (enter)
then "$" pops up and i type in ./rage (enter)

then this shows up

and ive repeated at least 20 times with having to reboot into recovery roughly every 2 attempts because it will say error device not found when is try to start over the 3rd time.

Are you sure you are using the stock V9 recovery? With stock V9 recovery, you may need to run rage multiple times, but it won't kill your adb shell access (it'll kick you out of adb, but can reconnect). However if you tried to do the same thing with VD recovery, it will kill your access to adb shell completely after the 2nd or 3rd attempt and it will never give you root (which is basically what you are describing)

If you are running V9 recovery, Step #3 should have completed with no errors. Otherwise you may still be running your previous recovery.

please help I followed the steps to return to stock v9 recovery and i have one of the newer ls670 (blank screen) Ive got screencast so i can see my screen on pc.My problem is i havent got any stock rom on my sdcard to flash. and there is no toggle ms on recovery .Im not a complete noob I was on cm7 and thought i would go to the new stock gingerbread. but now I hope i havent screwed my phone. ANYBODY HELP

ok i went ahead a rebooted and it sent me back to cm7. Wow i was starting to freak. So now Ive got v9 recovery i guess Im going to finsh the steps IM sorta in new ground . Any suggestions?

Ah... under advanced - fix recovery boot-loop... Now to see how gRom does... though I'm going to miss the icon's on the pull down screen from reborn...

How are you "rebooting"? I suggest you do it by pressing [Menu] on the phone to select "reboot system now" in Recovery. If you do it from adb, it'll probably boot back into Recovery.

ok so ive tried to root zvh for about a day and a half now, and no method seems to work. ive gotten rage to run but only from me putting it in a /data/local/tmp/000root folder and chmodding (chmod 777 /data/local/tmp/000root/*) cause it always says permission denied when i try to run rage from 000root in the sdcard....

windows 7 64 bit btw
