No matte how many times I uncheck trending searches they keep coming back. Is ther any way tp delete this function permanently?

I open chrome, go to google.com - search settings - other settings - uncheck auto complete wth trending searches.

but I still receive these "suggestions" when I type a few words in the earch box. They are never any use to me.

Yeah, the trending searches can be super annoying — especially when they show totally irrelevant or distracting stuff.

What worked for me (at least temporarily) was going into Chrome → Settings → Google Services → and toggling off “Autocomplete with trending searches.” It might reset after updates, though, which is frustrating.

Also noticed that when you're logged into your Google account on multiple devices, it sometimes ignores your settings. So logging out and trying in incognito helped me verify it was actually off.

Still wish Google would just give us a permanent off switch.
