I used Isyncr to put most of my iTunes music on my LG G3. I can listen to songs via Rocket Player or Google play but when I use the usb input in my Chevrolet Equinox, I can not get any music to play - only the ringtone "old phone" that I downloaded.

Is there a setting or different file I need to use? (My iPhone connected fine) How are you doing it?

not that I am aware of. 2011 Equinox, no navigation, just the radio/cd unit. Has usb port in console.

Have you looked at the owners manual for your car? A lot of car systems are built to connect to Apple iDevices, and only Apple devices.

Is there an AUX button on your console? I have to make sure that is on to get audio from my N3

My guess is that it is a media file format issue. I'm not sure what format music downloaded from iTunes is, but it probably isn't supported by your car deck. The reason you can probably play them from your iPhone is that your deck probably supports a direct connection to your iPhone, where with the G3, it is connecting to it as if the G3 was an external storage (like a thumb drive). When your iPhone is connected, the iPhone is doing the processing of the media files and feeding the output to your deck, while when the G3 is connected, the deck has to read the files from the storage and decode the media. This probably explains why you can only playback the ringtone you downloaded.

My old aftermarket deck was like this. Direct support for iPods plugged into the USB port, but anything else had to support mass media storage mode and the media files played back had to be supported by the deck (usually mp3 or wma).
