Hi. I am new to Android and have no idea how to factory reset, back up and restore from back up. Also, does restoring from back up restore my home screen set-up? All help is appreciated.

Hi. I am new to Android and have no idea how to factory reset, back up and restore from back up. Also, does restoring from back up restore my home screen set-up? All help is appreciated.

I use Nova Prime, and it allows me to back up my home screen setups. When I complete the reset (or change phones), I just reinstall all of my apps and restore the home screen configuration I saved before the reset, and my home screens are back to normal.

My preferred method is to make sure Google Plus picture backups are saved automatically, and just do the reset. Passwords for most web pages are saved in Chrome for me. It's a bit of a pain setting up some of my apps, and many games and stuff that don't save progress online are reset, but that doesn't bother me all that much. My email is Gmail, my contacts are Google, so there are only a few things I need to log back in to when I reset.

Probably takes me all of an hour to get things rejiggered the way I want them.

I use nova too could you walk me through on how to back that up? Thank you for your response
