How to protect the areas above and below the V10 screen? Do these two areas durable at all?

I just got V10 which is cool, and the shop helps me to put on a glasses protector. Then I found out V10 is not like most phones, V10 upper and below the screen are areas which should be some hard plastic. I see cases for V10 all dont protects these areas. Any suggestion? I see otterbox is all protected but I would need to give up the new glasses protector.

Seem like there is none except I give up the tempered glass protector and use the case screen protector. I think tempered glass protector would give a more clear and clean usage experience so I finally bought a UAG clear case.

It is funny that actually my wife doesn't like otterbox at all because the case would cover up everything except the screen, basically cannot even tell if it is V10 or a LG phone. My wife likes the UAG clear case much more.

This means I would leave the upper and lower areas wide open. I guess most of you are same as me. Do those areas durable after you use V10?

I use an Otterbox Defender case on my V10. I like the added protection. As far as not being able to tell if it's a V10 or an LG for that matter, isn't important to me. As long as I know the phone is protected and works, is all that matters to me. Besides, I don't think LG or any manufacture would replace your broken device just because others could see the logo. js

You can consider using Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which is only around $135 US dollars since you don't care if any people know what phone do you use anyway. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is very powerful for that price.

I am not talking about the edges.....I mean the front top and bottom which are not the screen.

You can find the spec in gsmarena website, I cannot post a link yet.
I think it is just psychology issue that most of the human cares how other people think about ourselves. I used xiaomi phone before but personally I didn't feel great when I use it in public since I would feel others would think I use a China brand phone.

I agree it is mainly about the branding, but that is matter a lot for a lot of people. It is like LV, Gucci, GAP all make bag and the cost may be smilar, but most of the people feel totally different if they see someone wearing LV/Gucci comparing to GAP.

Better stick with the Gucci's of phones and trade the V10boff for a iPhone 6S Plus if branding is all that matters. Might want to get the AT&T carrier, also, as you can spend more money there and really impress people.
