How to quickly invert colours on a Samsung A70 (Pie)

Android Central Question

I can invert colours by going to settings > accessibility > vision... > colour inversion, but on my old Motorola phone once I'd done this it would add it to my swipe-down menu, which doesn't seem to be the case for the A70. So when I use a white background app I need to go through lots of menus to temporarily fix it before then repeating the process if I use a darker app.

I am visually impaired and being able to do this quickly and painlessly is really important to how easily I can use my phone. Going through lots of white menus to get to it is a really bad experience for me as they are incredibly hard for me to read.

I see there are various different accessibility shortcuts available - a lovely looking (but useless) addition to the navigation bar, triple tapping, pressing volume up/down/power. But none of these allow colour inversion. According to Samsung support I've got no options.

I was also surprised not to see an Edit option on the quick swipe-down settings screen which I thought was built into Android these days.

Does anyone know if this is true? And, if so, are there any other options available? For example, are there any apps that could help? I tried to build my own to do this but I think it's going to take a lot to figure it out as I don't really know what I'm doing.

Is OneUI 2.0 likely to be better? I know Android 10 has dark theme support, which is why I bought an Android. But I'm hoping Samsung don't take away all the good bits.

Thanks for the replies. I thought I was signed in when I posted that but it appears not, which explains why I didn't get any notifications and missed your replies!

Since posting this, I found another forum post https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/help/colour-inversion-t3821920 which explained using Tasker which I presume is similar to Nova. I have now tried Tasker and it's actually really good, albeit a bit of a pain to setup in the first place. But now I've got my phone automatically inverting colours when certain apps are launched, and automatically restoring the colours when I go back to the home screen, or start apps that are already dark. So this seems to be a really good solution so far.

The native phone dark mode (aka Night Mode on my Samsung) isn't that good, in that it only affects OS menus like preferences. It doesn't even seem to affect Samsung's own apps. I'm using the High Contrast theme instead which is the same but more readable for me. Hopefully Androidi 10 should improve things here.

Glad you found a workaround.
