How to remove camera shutter sound?

Click on the settings icon. Press it again for a window to pop up. Then select the most right tab and scroll down, you should see the shutter sound option. It should be second to last on the list.

Not seeing that at all, second from the bottom is Storage. There's no option that I can see in the camera settings to turn it off. Unless your using a different camera.

while in the camera, hit the menu key, a window will pop up, hit the cog wheel, after storage it should say shutter sound. if not, maybe they removed it on your carrier for what ever reason

I have the international version (I9505) and i don't have the shutter option. Maybe i'll stick to silencing the phone before i use the camera. :) Thanks for the replies!

Not if you have Verizon.

In some countries, to reduce the random picture taking of others without permission, shutter sound is mandatory by law. This is legacy rules from feature phone(dumbphone) era. My Korean variant doesn't have the shutter sound option.

For all the international phones & carriers without the option for shutter sound, turn the phone to silent/mute.

Wow, thanks for that link!! The stream silencer app worked perfectly removed shutter sound from stock camera app.
