Only way is,, put on silent or vibrate

Doesn't work on the s3 or the s2 (I spent extensive time trying on my coworkers phones Lol) you have to download an app

I don't have the sound option on mine either and I'm on Telus(Canada).

I did switch to Camera ZOOMFX and have that option.

Try a simple solution put your index finger on the speaker at the back of the device and it will almost mute the sound

I have a Verizon phone and don't have the option to silence the shutter sound. I made an easy Tasker profile that solved the problem. Works like a charm. Profile- when camera app is loaded, Task- shift to silent mode and when leaving camera app, return to normal volume.

When I clicked on the link a pop up at the bottom came up that says:

Should I be afraid? I've only had this phone for 4 days. I don't want to screw it up. I just came from an iPhone 5 and I really liked the ease of silencing the shutter on it.
