Hey, I used to use ES file manager until they released ES Swipe. I found it very annoying and battery draining so I uninstalled the app. However uninstalling it didn't remove the menu for some reason and I think it's embedded it somewhere in my files now. Can someone help me remove it? I don't really want to reset my phone. Thanks in advance.

I booted into safe mode and the swipe menu wasn't there so it must be caused by an app. The one thing I don't understand is that I recently factory reset my phone and hadn't installed es file explorer since...

Yeah, it must be an app that you downloaded and included that new swipe option after a recent update. If you want you can take a screenshot of your running apps, post it here and we'll take a look.

Another thing. It seems you are using AVG, right? There are some negative reviews about this app saying that the latest update came with lots of ads. Who knows, maybe this is culprit.

So apparently Kingo SuperUser has its own swipe menu that looks exactly like ES file managers. I didn't realise until I just re rooted my device. Luckily there is an option to turn it off.

Glad you finally managed to fix it and thanks for the follow up! See you around the forums.

Re:

Yeah, I don't have ES file manager installed, which I know is the culprit and no other apps I have are suspicious.

Have you ever had ES installed? If so, I guess that when it was uninstalled it might have left some sort of self-starting process behind which is responsible for that abomination that keeps popping up. Re-install, turn of that damned Swipe function, and then de-install? That is where I am right now...

Re:

I have same issue, i found that i have installed VAULT app which have one functionality to lock other apps, i just disabled those locked apps and issue solved.

Note: To check this issue, first open that right bottom menu, then close it and check last running app, which is opening this menu.
