How to remove or hide alternate keyboards button?

I don't remember seeing it in Android 9, if I did, it definitely wasn't this big. It's thrown my typing all out of whack. Upgraded to Android 10 today and now a huge banner across the bottom has buttons to hide the keyboard or select another keyboard. Does anybody know how to remove or hide this option?
