I hate updates they break major functions of the phone that's why I use package disabler to disable them.anyone else know how to remove this eyesore from the settings screen without factory reset please guys?
I would just ignore it....is it really worth the hassle to get rid of it? I can be ocd myself sometimes, but this might be a chance for you to challenge yourself and just let it be there![]()
No problem seen the name mentioned lolMustang7757 the forum wont let me quote your post .so I only had the blue one disabled normally both are disabled but I must have forgotten to disable the green one they are both disabled now but I cant remove the crap.i know deep down factory reset is the only way but I really dont want to .but my ocd wont want that notification there in my settings
There must be a way to remove it no root
Usually when I factory reset it would need to update apps after then everything was good , now if you experienced this after everything all said and done not sure but if update available then just do that .I tried but unfortunately didnt work buddy.so I caved and did a factory reset to get rid of it
I noticed some type of Samsung server issue anyway there is a weird problem after I factory reset the phone as soon as your connect wifi and sign into the play store the phone downloads all the stock apps for pie like calendar, calculator Samsung browser etc but this time instead of the normal Samsung calculator v10 the green icon that comes pre installed with pie it
installed the really old calculator from oreo v6 blue icon ,so I'm on pie with the oreo calculator ,I factory reset again to see if the next time it will install the correct calculator from pie like it use to do,but again its installing the calculator from oreo.
is this some sort of bug with the Samsung servers?sure I can update the calculator in the Samsung store but it did seem odd that for some reason the sammy servers are bugging out and installing the calculator app from oreo.when it would always in the past install the correct pie calculator after a factory reset
