Hey
So phone has been having problems (lagging, did not connect to laptop, crashes when connects to home network(ever since we 'upgraded' it was working before)). When we were trying to clean up some files transfering pics from the phone storage ( not the camera roll of micro sd card), while connected to the laptop via cable, a message saying deleting camera folder appeared
Oh snap
Pressed promptly on cancel, it seemed fine.
When we went back we saw that storage was considerably more available,
oh snap again
Be hold, no camera folder in dcim in phone. At all. Recycle bin on laptop did not feature anything.
Tried using some online software on laptop, on laptop joint with phone, on phone, not much use. It seems only a smaller part was actually restored
We don't really have feasible way to know whether about 3 years of all pics which was restored or not, one by one but a lot of what we know definately not. Especially the older ones🙈 So we need a reliable way/software to restore those
Any suggestions you guys on how to restore these all ? Had some work related stuff as well. Oh snap, did we say that already? Yeah, oh snap
Help please
Many thanks to the community

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? If photos saved to Internal Storage in the /DCIM/Camera directory are deleted using anything besides a file manager app that has a Trash option, the files are gone. This is why it's important to backup or sync important photos (and other data) on a regular basis. Software that can try to recover deleted files requires rooting (which in itself will overwrite some of that data). [Guide] Recovering Deleted Files - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

Thank you for replying. When it mysteriously occured phone was connected to the laptop via type c cable transferring some pics. Files from that DCIM Camera folder (phone storage, not sd card)are not in the laptop's recycle bin
The entire folder was deleted
So any suggestions may be running a software on the parp, any idea on good restore one?

Apparently not, it's also more than 3 years of files in that folder, so even if there was a back up, it would probably be the smaller portion.
Any suggestions, on reliable software for phone or.pc #( since it happened when phone was plugged)?
Please

I mentioned before about the programs that Rukbat mentioned in his guide, namely DiskDigger Pro. Keep in mind that trying to recover deleted data from Internal Storage will require rooting (which in itself will overwrite some data).
