[How-to] Revert to LS670V9, after installing OTA LS670VC/VD, using KP500 (Diag mode)

All I can say is rage depends on a race condition. It doesn't alway hit gold. You may want to sprinkle in a reboot of the phone, the pc, and an adb kill-server every once in a while. Eventually it'll work. I sometimes get it on first shot. Sometimes after 25.
Blank Screen, No LG No Nothing
So.... I was trying to root this phone that was on the LS670ZVD SW Version. I went to the step to revert back to V9 and it went through the entire process just as described. Upon rebooting the phone screen is backlight and the buttons are also but I dont get any LG Splash screen or anything.
Since I have tried to run the LG updater again thinking it might restore the necessary driver to get the screen going again, but without success. This is not my phone as I was doing for someone else so I am in a bit of predicament now with this so any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I tried rebooting again through adb and it is showing the little LG symbol for a second then nothing.
EDIT2: Sorry I didnt see the part about substituting those steps to force flash back to VC. Will try that and report back if that fails.
EDIT3: Sorry for the un-needed post did the force flash back to VC and now the screen is working again. (THANK GOD) So now I just need to try rooting again.

Attempted the force flash VD, the LG Updater said "Updating is not possible any longer due to a fatal error while the LG Mobile Phone Software Update."
... attempting again... skipped the checksum step, suppose it could have been a tad off or something....

I am having an issue with reverting back to LS670V9. when it get to the download it aborts. I need guidance.
I am having a problem reverting down to VC from VD when I start the SW update process it gives me the error that my phone is not connected so I then unplug the plug back up and then it gives me an error that 2 phones are connected. Please Help.

KP500 doesn't download anything. Are you sure you renamed the V9 cab file correctly?
Please post the log file or at least describe the error in as much detail as you can.
ok the phone resets at 70% of download and the program stops responding at the start of the update process.

I have the LG Optimus S. I avoided the latest VD update until it apparently did it on its own while it was in my pocket!
My phone buzzed in my pocket > I grabbed it > read the message about "Updating XXX" > hit "Cancel" button.
So I immediately checked my Settings and the phone says it has VD installed despite me hitting Cancel. :'(
(1) So, is the method mentioned in sfhub's sig (and similar rooting/flash methods) the only way to revert to a pre-VD stage?
(2) Any sort of command I can do within the phone itself that'll reset it? Button combo?
(3) Does the "Factory Data Reset" option under the Privacy Settings work?
(4) Also, does this mean I will have to re-activate the phone? Any problems with this?

Your only options are to run it as is or use KP500 to force flash a previous version.
