How to Root, Install Safestrap, and custom ROMs

Wifi passwords are stored with Google, at least mine always have been.
Yeah just uncheck those. Google play, calender, and whatever else is built in.

The reason it doesn't work when you restore it is because you are trying to restore system data from one rom to another.

And on arctic hd the calender is inverted so it's trying to restore the old one on top of the different one

ive never gone with corporate email or anything corporate on my personal phone because you basically give up security and privacy when you sync with corporate mail.

do as carracerz14 says when it comes to your backups and restores. everything in your calendar should be backed up with google so no need to restore any of that. just stay away from system restores altogether.

It looks like I'm going to have to go back to stock It's a big deal if I can't sync my work calendar with Arctic, so now I need to figure out how to get back.

I was previously running the .215 leak. What are the steps to follow to go back to stock? I assume I need to go to .211 and then update to .215 again manually?

Why can't you sync your calendar?? Just sign into Google and it will sync.

Yes. Go back to 211 using option 1 and then manually update to 215 again.

my google calendar was fine. I also have my work (exchange) calendar synced via corporate sync, and it wasn't visible on the phone at all. I just flashed back to .211, so I'm re-tracing my steps now.

Was exchange one if the things that didn't work in the rom? I don't remember seeing it. Did you try asking on droidrazr.com and see what they said about it

When it comes to custom roms I can't help you with what does or doesn't work. That needs to be asked in the rom forum you download it from.

I've ran in to a bit of a problem. I'm trying to root again, but everytime I use Matt's utility, i select option 2 to root, I hit any key to continue, then it gets stuck on "waiting for device..." What might be the problem? I don't remember it doing this the first time I rooted.

Never mind all that. You have to leave your phone for ON MU to work to root. I was putting it into AP Fastboot :-! Everything is fine on my end now.

Make sure USB Debugging is on. Try a different cable/usb port. Besides that I may need more details.

Are you running the Droid HD or Arctic HD Rom? If so, it's just in the widgets area. I do believe it is just called Circle Widget. I can't tell you for sure, I am back to stock for now.
