man, may i ask some question about using 1click?
1. you did update 1-click before your root, right?
2. actually, phone is rooted after before flashing recovery, is that right?
3. did you use extra menu to flash recovery, or just use 2-click button?
4. after flash recovery, did you back to XDA-Instruction? or u just copy the rooted froyo RUU for XDA forum(HTC_OTA_Froyo_2.2_build_3.26.651.6_(Rooted)_Deodex_signed_RevE.2), flash that in recovery menu? (of course, after wipe cache and dalvik)
Thank you, man.
1. yes, I updated 1-click prior to using. Also first time I tried, it aborted because I didn't have the v4 of .NET. Dialog implied that clicking ok would take me to the download site, but I had to find and install manually.
2. Yes, I believe after pushing the first button, I was rooted. Can't swear to this, it's not like I ran some root-only program, but that's my understanding.
3. I didn't use the extra menu, just pushed the "Flash Recovery" button.
4. No, I didn't resume the XDA instructions, because I figured I'd branched away when I did Simple Root, rather than Unrevoked. I downloaded the XDA rooted Froyo rom (HTC_OTA_Froyo_2.2_build_3.26.651.6_(Rooted)_Deodex_signed_RevE.2), dragged it onto my SDcard as-is (without renaming) and rebooted my Evo into recovery. I then flashed the file (2 menu clicks; one to enter the flash rom menu, another to manually select a file, then scrolled waaaaaay down to find the file down on the bottom and selected it).
Really I don't think I needed to load that rom at all, I was just following the instructions in this thread to the letter. I did a nandroid backup to put a safe return point on SD card, and repeated the rom loading process with the AC Rom from this thread.
