how to rotate pictures

tried searching other posts...so if i missed pls just point in the right direction, otherwise: is there any way to rotate a picture i.e. my friend mms's me an image that is sidways, is there a way i can reorient it?

Check the market for photo edit app. They're there.

Yeah...you can't do it in the stock Gallery. But between Photoshop or any other Photo editing app, it shouldn't be too hard to accomplish what you need.

Try this...

While looking at the picture in your messages hit menu button on the phone then select "attached items" and save the picture to the phone memory. Once saved you go the gallery on the phone where pictures are saved and find the picture you've just saved. Tap the picture and then select "menu" on the bottom right and then select "More" on the bottom right and that gives you the option to rotate the picture in any direction... Hope this helps..

Yes, but when sending the mms the pic is stil in wrong mode...

Rotate the picture first. Then go to More and choose the option to crop. Crop from edge to edge and save. Now you have a rotated copy you can upload.

I go into Gallery on my Android (LG 4 MAXX, Verizon) and some of my pictures are sideways. I hit the "Edit" icon (little pen on paper), rotate the pic til it's upright, click on the CHECKMARK (cuz it's the only apparent "save change" function), and go back out to my pics in the Gallery. The picture is STILL
rotated sideways! Have never found a way to KEEP my edits on my pics!
Please advise. (want to send family pics to family, but in the best-looking way)

In "Photos" the "rotate" function is hidden. To see it:

1. Tap the photo you wish to rotate
2. Tap the pen icon below it
3. Tap the cropping icon on the right
4. Now a diamond with an arrow encircling it will appear on the right
5. Each tap on it will rotate the photo 90 degrees, or move the slider
6. Tap DONE when correctly oriented
