How to set a ringtone for an entire label in google contacts

I have an LG Thinq g7 android 8.0. I have all my contacts labeled in google contacts. I know how to set ringtones for individual contacts in the google contacts app. But, how do I set a ringtone for an entire label so I don't have to do it one at a time? Thanks

You don't - there's no mechanism for that. Choose the default ringtone as the one that's going to be set for the largest number of apps, then change the others one by one.

Grrr. I really want this feature, or at least a feature to set the ringtone different for non-contacts. I'm not alone!
