How to set ring tones on ICS

How in the world can I select a custom ring tone on ICS? I have the MP3 on my phone..I can play it in music player, but I can find a spot to set it as my ring tone..can someone help?

Actually the can go anywhere, you just have to choose music instead of system.
I have a few songs I use as ringtones that are in /my music/artist name.

Yep. This, too. I usually make my own ringtones (not full tracks), so I just store them in the system locations and keep them out of my music folders.
 
Found this thread while googling for some info. Is it possible to set a ringtone per contact without using apps like WhoIsIt? I'd think a feature like that should be built into an OS by now.

Thanks for the answer, but I haven`t had any File app on ma` Nexus preinstalled.
Now, when I downloaded the Astro File Manager / Browser from Google Play everything is much easier. ;)
