I'm using ear buds and hear a delayed echo of my voice during calls. Concert hall is turned off

Sorry for the delay. Took awhile to figure out how to sign up - then there was the "progressive" ad to confirm account that looked suspicious. I'm using the Bose QC20 for android. I checked the url above and followed the instructions. Did a test call to another number and there was no echo. Redialed the number of the company that I noticed the problem and the echo persists. They say they use a headset . So maybe the problem is on their end? Is there something I can have them do to eliminate the echo?

Is that other person using the headset also on a cellphone, or is it a landline? Can you ask them to try disconnecting the headset?

I didn't ask. It was a customer service representative. The next time I have this issue, what questions should I ask? Should I ask them to disconnect and reconnect the head set or if they could help me without using the headset? Would like to know possible solutions in advance as it is not possible consult back and forth with the forum when I am dealing with a customer service representative.

if you are not having a problem with other calls then you are right, the problem is on their end.

Another thing to try would be to disconnect the earbuds and just use the phone's own earpiece speaker and mic to see if that eliminates the echo.

The problem probably isn't with their headset, it's probably with their phone company. (Echo on only one number is usually a bad echo suppressor somewhere in the line that company is using.)
