How to stop my phone from rebboting on its own?

I have this issue with my phone where when I open youtube, at a random point in time, my phone reboots on its own. Idk if its because my phone isnt up to date, maybe, maybe not. My phone is a redmi note 7. Can someone help me on how to fix this? It's so annoying.

You mention YouTube but it doesn't happen with any other apps?

You say it reboots randomly, so dose this just happen once, let's say you open YT 5 minutes in it causes the device to reboot and you go back into YT, can you browse for hours after that and everything is fine?

Have you cleared the cache and data for YT? Sometimes if there is a glitch with an app things have to get cleared out. Go into Settings>Applications>YT>Storage>Clear cache/Clear data and let us know if that helps.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this the legit YouTube app that came with the phone? If it didn't come with the phone, did you install it from the Play Store (and are you certain it was from Google)?
