How to transfer data from a Samsung Note 3 with black screen

My Samsung Note 3 screen LED is blacked out and I don't want to replace it. I want to transfer the device data to an Alcatel 4044L flip phone ultimately. Any suggestions for this process?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about contacts and text messages only? Bring it to your carrier and see if they can access your contacts with a USB cable. Since you want to transfer to a flip phone, you'll only be able to transfer things like contacts, text messages, and maybe the call log. It's unlikely a flip phone would be able to handle high resolution pictures taken by the Note 3.

Yes. Thats what I thought too re data. Any suggestions for downloading the pics?

If the phone has no secure lock screen, and it has been previously set to MTP, then the pictures should be visible on a computer when connected.

You could also try connecting the phone to a TV or monitor's HDMI port via an MHL cable. If the touchscreen function of the phone is still working, you can use the phone while the screen displays on the TV. Then I'd suggest uploading all photos to your Google Photos in the cloud: https://support.google.com/photos/answer/6193313?co=GENIE.Platform=Android&hl=en. Use the High Quality setting for unlimited storage.
