Yes, you can use the cable that came with your N7.

Or you can use any generic USB cable (standard size type A male to mini type B male - same as what came with your N7) that you may have gotten with some other device or purchased separately.

There is another very cool option that won't burn your Nexus! Install the app AirDroid on your N7 https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...s/details?id=com.sand.airdroid&token=rhwzVdhF. AirDroid let's you wirelessly control your N7 or any Android device using the internet browser on your computer (your computer and N7 must be on the same wireless network). It provides a very nice and simple interface on your computer that basically lets you operate your N7 from your computer, including allowing you to wirelessly transfer files between your computer and Nexus 7. The advantage is that the interface for doing this is even easier than using Windows Explorer. The disadvantage is that the transfer is slower than connecting with a USB cable.

I have computer but I don't use wireless on it.I use it only because of tablet.On my comp and notebook I use normal adsl connection via cable.

Make sure to use any folder on your Nexus that starts with /mnt/sdcard/. That represents the main storage memory.

The Nexus 7 uses MTP protocol over USB, I don't think users will see the / file system from the PC.

OP, if you have a Mac you'll have to download a driver to connect via USB. Check the Nexus 7 Guidebook in Play Books (it's free) for details.

Instead of using the actual Drop box or Box apps, I use File Expert. It allows you to do bulk file transfers from either of those services.
