How to transfer music from Mac to Galaxy S4

Just wanted to say that I'm totally not tech and spent all morning trying to work out how to get my music to my S4 mini because when I connect my phone, my Mac doesn't recognise it. In the end I inserted the micro SD into the SD slot on my mac by using an SD Card Adaptor then just dragged the artist files from 'my music'. This seems to have worked really well, the only downside is that I'll have to remove the micro SD from my phone every time I want to add new music.
