How to turn off Heptic Feedback for the buttons below the screen

was looking around for this all day yesterday. Haven't rooted my phone yet, kinda weary about it. Thanks for this just in case i take a shot at it and root the phone.

how do you unroot the phone just in case i do this? will i just need to restore to factory settings?

Same rooting program that roots the Atrix has a Unroot button. In my personal opinion it will do you no harm.

You will also be able to use the Wifi Tether if you root :)

Will it enable you to download apps not in the market? Im sure it does right?

Thanks for the info. I just rooted my phone with Superoneclick and installed that app in a matter of 5 minutes. Gotta love Android lol

Now if I delete the program, it puts the vibrate back right?

Also yes, that program worked like a charm! Its what I used before I believe with my Streak.

It was very annoying to realize that Motorola has added no option to turn off heptic feedback for the buttoms below the screen (home, apps, back, search etc)

But if you are rooted you can download this app

http://raidz.net/StreakVibrations.apk

and turn it off. Just installed it and it works like a charm.

just an fyi, this app kills ALL phone vibrations including haptic feedback. calls, txt messages, etc. won't notify via vibrate with this app. it works well, but almost too well ;)

a simple reboot will enable all the vibrations back.
