Hey guys I have never had to ask this question before but I have decided to stick with stock after getting my DNA rather than going viper Rom. So my question is, If I have bootloader enabled, clockwork mod recovery, and am S-off, how do I update my firmware? I tried using the Verizon automatic updater, but it booted into CWM recovery and failed with a bunch of repetitious number errors and location problems. Sorry still kind of new to all this, thanks for any and all help!

I'm not familiar with HTC DNA software updates but most manufactures have them available for download, and if you can find the zip file you should be able to flash that update.

I just checked it out and it doesn't seem like they have stock updates available so unless you flash the stock recovery or go to a ROM you might be out of luck. Normally you could download the update but since the DNA has a locked bootloader they don't give the updates for download.

There is one way but I'm not sure it is what you want because it will do a complete wipe. But you can replace stock recovery. Then download stock 1.15 hboot and flash in oem RUU. after that you can run the HTC 1.15 RUU.exe which is floating around. It's the full stock that was released with the phone. After that, I was still unlocked and s-ff but of course you don't have root. Then you just boot up and accept the updates as i did. If you're not happy you can always just reload stock hboot for first release and flash the RUU.exe again. Two things though, your fastboot will say unlocked. You will get rid of the test device text on startup, but under settings menu, though i'm complete stock it has an HTC error reporting feature that can't be stopped. I have even re locked oem and it is still there. Probably of course because of my original tamper.

Of course, before you consider any of what I tried, you should visit XDA dev's or google search "droid dna stock hboot" and that will take you to some posts that may help with what you want to do.
