How to upgrade BLU Studio G to Lollipop?

I got a BLU Studio G today and am trying to use it as a cheap way to develop an app really quick. The website says it is able to upgrade to 5.0, but there are no instructions to do this. When I go into the 'update software' in settings, it says the phone is up to date, but it's clearly on 4.4 still. Am I just missing something here?

Hey there! Blu will update their phones on a release date, therefore the Lollipop update isn't available yet.
