How to Voodoo ***Updated 27 Mar 2011***KERNEL BUILT FROM SOURCE/SOUND/UNDERVOLTED

I ran JT's 12/14 and it didn't seem as fast as Adrynalyne's 1/16 I tried first, but battery life was much better. I'm testing a few different ones now to see what gives me the best balance. I'm a huge fan of undervolted kernels for battery life so I'm mainly sticking to those.

keep us up to date on your findings. I'm looking for the same thing. I just flashed the 1/16 last night. testing battery life this week.

same here. i use my phone for everything so battery has been an issue since day one. there is def a differance with the undervolted kernels.

I'm using Adrynalyne's 12/30 kernel he originally posted with the DL09 leak on XDA. Battery is excellent but I think your mileage might very.

I'm currently running Adrynalyne's 1/16, test 6, low voltage voodoo and it seems to be holding up well. No stability issues, very snappy, and great battery life (still above 90% in 5 hours) so far. Will see how it goes for the rest of the day with my normal usage (text, browser, calls, games).

io havent used 5. do you use any bluetooth devices. i get some skipping with 6 when im on my bluetooth stereo.

Correction, I'm using 6 as well. No skipping for me in my truck paired with my Pioneer head unit.

Oh, if anyone knows of any thing stupid i can do with a voodoo kernel let know. the only thing i know of is flashing a nonvoodoo over a voodoo, and i already did that and posted what happened and how to fix it.

you can try flashing something using the "phone" button in Odin. ;)

read your odin experience a couple minutes ago. :D

So I finally took the plunge today...

Flashed dl09 radio, Super Clean .04, Super Dark theme for dj05, the theme fix for dl09, and then Adrynalyne's test 5 SV voodoo kernel.

Haven't really noticed much of a difference yet, so I'll give it a couple days. I was getting excellent battery life on my previous setup (Super Clean di01, stock kernel), so hopefully I'll get the same if not better.

Can't seem to get Swype working now though... I had the updated beta before I flashed, and now it won't download again. Gonna tinker with that for a bit

there is a thread about an issue with swype, not sure if its the same. and there a new version of swype available on xda.

i havnet noticed to much differance, like i said its a little zippier, but not to much faster. i do notice that after i have opened a buch of apps and most of them have been running all day, that it doesnt slow down tawords the end of the day like the nonvoodoo's did.

I am using the imnuts 1/15 voodoo -100uv kernel. This seems to be running similar to what jt's 12/30 and adry's test 2 non-voodoo did. I have not noticed a huge difference with voodoo either but k9 loads faster and the weather radar of weatherbug elite seems quicker. I was looking for a radar app over the weekend as the radar never seemed very smooth. Seems better now. I am at 13 hours and I am sitting at 38%. This is pretty good for me :)

Third day of my voodoo experience, I've noticed much worse battery life. I tried two different kernels, first was Adrynalyne's kernel Test 2 (1/16) which wasn't too good, next was jt1134's latest voodoo kernel and I think that one was worse. So is it my imagination or are voodoo kernels really bad for battery life?
