lol im sorry . i was tired when i wrote it. i was mixing info on mine and my wifes phone LOL. correct question is: I have a stock 2.2 and going to put [6.8.2011][ED01] MIUIWiz *V1.1 on it with a voodoo kernal but when i loaded it the robot woman says convert data partition, systems not available. convert sytem partition, systems not available . how do i go about converting ext 4? thanks for your time. im new at this ; )

Just like Jmac9 said, the kernel included in MIUIWiz does not automatically convert to ext4 for you. You need to flash a different voodooo kernel before flashing the ROM. Nitsuj17 lists jt1134's voodoo kernels as an option. Those kernels can be found in post #4 of JaeKar99's Themes, ROMs, kernels thread here:

Place the kernel file and the MIUIWiz ROM file on your sd card, boot to recovery, flash the voodoo kernel, before booting phone go in voodoo from the first CWM page and make sure it says enable after next boot. If it doesn't scroll to enable lag fix and hit the power button, reboot phone to enable ext4 conversion. After phone boots up fully, boot back to CWM and flash MIUIWiz ROM.

You need to flash a different kernal first. Assuming you can get into CWM get one of jt1134s AOSP kernals.

That will get you converted easiest, then go back and follow the intructions for flashing your Rom.

yes. as stated in the op, the lag fix is a filing system, nothinig more. the voodoo sound and color enhancements will still work. but why on earth would you do that?

thought so just wanted tobe sure . i did everything landshark said and and it didnt work ...although the first time i was doing it , in the middle of booting up i think the phone died so then charged it for a while turned it back on booted it robot voice said convert data partition, systems not available. convert sytem partition, systems not available. so i thought if i started the conversion process agian it would work and i just got the same thing

you are on the wrong cwm for one. but its very simple

flash voodoo kernel.

reboot.

Yes, otb 1.6 is a froyo kernel.
