Android Central Question

I have a Galaxy Tab E 32 GB tablet. I want to watch videos from it, or show photos on my home TV, but my home tv is <gulp, yes, I know> a tubed tv from the 90's. I bought an RCA to HDMI converter and then an HDMI to micro usb to plug it into my table, but I'm not getting anything on the tv. I'm able to see my laptop on the TV using the RCA to HDMI connected to my laptop. Why can't I see my tablet on the tv?

Wireless. With a chrome cast dongle. For an adapter to work your USB port has to have the functionality which I don't think yours does.

Not all devices will support HDMI over the micro USB port (which is called MHL in most cases) so just getting the adapter won't get you the solution you're seeking. The most universal solution is to cast using a device such as a Chromecast, as suggested by @kbz1960
