How way to check if an old android version or rom is safe?

I am using V10 and plans to use at least 1 to 1.5 years more. I guess there will be no more patch after like half year. So after like a year something is there anyway my old android official rom os still safe without any security hole? Thanks.

Hard question, since security issues arise from time to time. I guess you can not be 100% sure, but it would be a good idea to keep an eye on he v10 XDA-developpers forums. Who knows, you might even get tempted by a custom ROM in the future...

I love to use cm13 but look like no developers want to focus on v10 rom development

except the possible bootloop it is a great phone so far.
