How you feel about the s11 called s20

"how do you feel about the S11 being called the S20?"

Well, the same way I felt about Apple calling the iPhone 7S "iPhone 8", when we all know it was a 7S.

Changing it up for the sake of changing it up lol

I think they're doing it to change it up from apple which makes sense. I can't tell you how many people would confuse iPhone 6s for Galaxy s6 and iPhone 7 for galaxy s7 when I worked in wireless.

I don't care what they call it but its looking better by the day. Just a few more months...

I like the new numbering scheme. Now it takes with the calendar year. A Galaxy Note 42 will come out in 2042. No more questions as to which year a phone came out !

Until they get sick of it in another 10 years, that is. Or more appropriately Apple comes up with a more clever way of naming their devices and Samsung is forced to follow suit. Samsung - always the bride's maid, never the bride.

It's not bad. I would have rathered the S11 name - but that being said, I guess it does match well with the whole New Year and 2020 thing. That's some pretty good marketing from Samsung.

Yeah I can see why they did this .

Not like it was ever a problem to begin with. It takes 5 seconds on Google to find that kind of information.

If the 2020 Galaxy S phone is the 11th iteration, then it only makes sense that it's called S11.

There is gonna be far, far less difference in design between the S10 and S11/20 (and between S11/20 to S12/21) than those between the S2 and S3, or S3 to S4.

Design changes have almost completely stagnated.

I don't mind the name change at all just really hoping they knock it out of the park with the camera

I don't really care what they call it, I just can't wait for it to come out. I have the OG Pixel and the battery has recently decided to give up the ghost.
