After attending a baseball game Saturday night (both fully charged to start out), my daughter's S III's battery was at 75%. My Epic 4G Touch was down to 52%. And she used her phone more than I did during the game. I'm jealous.

Dude u use ur phone at all that sucks screen time at 17%

from my HTC evo lte that was smuggled through customs in a kilo of cocaine

unplugged 730am, 10:13pm at 44%

to work not much use not on charge, home, bike ride with music, took a bunch of pics (up in gallery thread), came home, watched 2 innings of yankees game on balcony with twc tv app (screen is cray!) using the wifi, uploaded 3 pics to fb and 1 to instagram

im fairly satisfied with the battery life and there are definitely plugs/outlets for where ever i'm going, but haven't needed it. believing in that conditioning a battery so let it run down to almost dead then charging. will probably leave it off charge tonight wake up and charge tomorrow at work. no serious complaints here

I've been getting about 10 hours with heavy use. I ordered the Samsung spare battery and charger for those weekend days when I watch baseball all day. I'm sure if lte ever rolls out it will be good to ha e another battery.

power save mode made my SIII lag so I turned it off.

I could use a little help. First let me say that I'm coming over from Blackberry, so I'm still getting used to the Android OS and settings, etc. The first couple days I had this phone I was averaging 16 hours on battery which is awesome incomparison to anything I've experienced with BB. Since then I have obviously added some email accounts and apps. I've turned on the powersaving features. I havent customized my phone much, no extra widgets or anything (mainly because I'm still figuring out how) I've shut off most if not all of the motion controls, i turn off Mobile network when using Wifi, and I'm barely getting 8 hours. I'm not in the best 3G area, but with wifi on and mobile network off, I figure that wont have a huge impact, am I wrong in that assumption?

The biggest issue is that I have always used my phones as an alarm clock. What I've found the past couple of days is that my battery has been draining to the point of shut down overnight. No doubt, my alarm hasnt been going off. Not sure what is causing this battery drain or what I might be missing? I would love to get back to the 16 hour range as others have reported, just not sure what I need to do. I appreciate any help or suggestions you guys can offer.

I get about 10 hours with heavy use. After I get to 50% I put it in power saving mode.
Waiting for Seidio to come out with their extended battery which will hopefully work with their surface and active cases

I am getting about 10 to 11 hours of heavy use out of it. Which is pretty good. I got about the same usage out of my bb9930 also.

Mine sucks. Not sure if its software or hardware issue yet. Going to restore the phone maybe today. I lose 1 percent every few minutes when in use.

Here's what I got today. I took the phone off the charger last night, so it was idle all night and lasted until now. I'm actually trying to drain the battery by playing games and running HD movies right now.... that last ten percent is proving difficult to drain.

NEWB question...what is the purpose of using wi-fi when you can get it? I have wifi in my home. If I just use the Wifi what is the advantage? and this may be a dumb question, but will i still receive phone calls?

My gsII uses a lot less battery if it's on wifi. I think that is true of all pho es though. If you don't need to use the cell radios for wifi then you will use less battery. You can still receive calls. Using wifi does not affect the cl signal for calls.

wifi radio uses a lot less battery power than 3g across all devices.

Hows the battery life on the low to mid use range, about 40 calls and under 50 text a day. I've seen people get 12+ hours with heavy use range but what about the person that don't use their phone a lot, ie web games etc, Thanks.
